Working for MAB Corporation, FKA formed a joint venture with SJB Architects to undertake the architectural aspects of the commercial bid for the New Quay Precinct at the Melbourne Docklands.
Since the success of this open bid, the joint venture has created a masterplan for the whole precinct, and undertaken all design stages including marketing input for the Arkley, Palladio, Boyd, Sant’ Elia, Nolan, the Conder and the waterfront retail.
The complex comprises approximately 1,000 apartments and displays a unique intergration of art and architecture.
The project was awarded the 2003 RAIA Victorian Chapter Architecture Awards Commercial Award.
